sunflowers

as a way to both thank the community and keep his soil fertile, one of the local farmers plants a whole field full of sunflowers every other year or so.

it's absolutely beautiful when he does.

seeing similar gestures to share thanks, especially when it benefits the entire community, makes me feel better about the society in which we live, in which i am easily displeased.

i haven't had the chance to go to this field and take portraits of others like i wanted to, but i have stopped by once and taken a few quick shots of the field.
